The title of this picture is a play on words. This little old street in Eastry, Kent, England is actually called “The Cross”. Appropriatley enough, it leads toward the historically significant Church in the background. The houses shown here are very old, but not as old as some othet features of this hamlet close to Dover.
The original painting is in a privte collection in England.
